Deep in the Languedoc vineyard, located at the top of its hill, the Saint-Christol terroir has seen generations of winemakers succeeding each other for more than 2000 years, drawing and redesigning these small parcels of vines. Descendants of the Gallo-Roman peasants of our village, we experienced a tremendous boost of notoriety for our wines with the arrival of the Knights of the Order of Malta, as early as the 12th century. It is thus, on these terraces of Villafranchian, composed of rolled pebbles, that our family repeats these gestures that were transmitted to us with patience and meticulousness by our ancestors and that shape our landscape. The wines of the Haut Courchamp estate are the culmination of a great qualitative requirement, with the greatest respect for our vegetal setting. The latter is the guarantor of our exceptional vineyard terroir, it gives our fruits a rare balance and maturation that make the reputation of Saint-Christol wines. We work only a few hectares, which we vinify in an ancestral way, our ultimate pleasure being to amaze your senses, to share this heritage, without artifice, this truth of the terroir.
