Hi, my name is April Roy, founder/CEO of femPAQ Inc. where we take the oops out of unexpected periods. I founded the femPAQ after a girls trip to L.A. with my best friend, where she unfortunately got her period unexpectedly. We looked for a safe quick solution so that she could feel comfortable on her flight back to N.Y. and there was Nothing. She eventually settled on the bulky pads but was upset because she didn't have enough room in her travel bag for them. When I got home I started to do some research and there really wasn't anything out there if women/girls got their period in public unexpectedly. I then started to research why there wasn't anything. Afterwards, femPAQ became more than a product but a movement to make menstrual hygiene care accessible in every space that women and all menstruating people existed. Our mission is to improve women's health through product, policy, education and community. With the hopes of ending period poverty and the stigma surrounding periods.
