Ginger & Juniper was started by Gabrielle Richards in 2011 after acquiring her mom's sewing machine. It didn't take long to discover she had a passion for fun fabrics and sewing. The idea for her business came from the need to reduce the number of plastic shopping bags used by her family. We live in a disposable world, and Gabrielle wanted something that could not only be reused, but that was natural, and could be kept clean easily. She started making reusable, washable market bags for family and friends, and then just kept going from there.
