About JSA Coffee Roasting LLC

JSA Coffee Roasting began in 2016 roasting out of what used to be The Green Tomato on Richmond Street in Appleton. We also started attending the Oshkosh Farmers Market that fall. We grew quickly over the course of 4 years. Late 2019-2020, we opened our own brick and mortar in Seymour. Unfortunately for us, we opened our store in Feb of 2020, less than 3 weeks before Covid. Thanks to the support of our customers, we managed to make it through the pandemic. As we continue to grow, we get the opportunity to work with wholesale partners like Two Guernsey Girls Creamery. Mike and Nanci Sugden are the owners. We were married in June of 1990, and have 3 (now adult) kids, Jake, Sara, and Andrea(They are the JSA in JSA). We have Logan and Madi (Madilyn) as grandkids, and they are represented as Logan’s Choice(our first blend of coffee), and Madi’s Mocha Mix. Mike joined the Army Reserve in 1990, went active duty Infantry in 1993. After my active duty time, Mike returned to the Reserves, assigned to the 395th Ordnance in 1997. Mike served a total of 23 years (13 active duty) with 2 tours in Afghanistan. Read their story
