What should we do with Mom's old silverware ????? We can't throw it away !! I have an idea , let's make dragonflies with them !! Here at Paul's Metal Petals we use "post consumer" stainless steel flatware to make kinetic garden sculptures ... Individuals from all over the U.S. go to estate sales ,garage sales, rummage sales and flea markets to find vintage stainless steel flatware to send to us (we pay them ).. This makes the patterns we use endless ..all the sculptures are made with different combinations of patterns.. The Drunken Dragonflies are now complimented with Brew Birds and Tipsy Toads.... They all come with a 36 inch tall garden stake with a spoon attached , that they balance on and play in the wind... The sculptures balance on their spoon with only gravity holding them on... They have been documented to have survived hurricanes and thunderstorms proudly sitting on their perch ! The stake is made from bare steel that can be clear coated or left to rust without hurting them structurally... Handmade in the USA
