About Debra Cartwright
Debra Cartwright is an illustrator in Brooklyn New York. Working in publishing, she noticed a lack of representation of fun, carefree women of color. Since then she's worked with brands to create that image on a large scale. Her past clients have included Her client list includes Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Bloomingdales, Ebony, Essence, HBO, L’Oreal, McDonalds, People magazine, Mizani haircare, Simon & Schuster, Twitter, and The New York Times. Debra Cartwright's stationery line seeks to provide relatable images for that customer that may feel a little left out of mainstream.
