About SYGLA

My name is Salvatore Fazzino and I am the father of this desire called SYGLA. I was born in seventy-four. Born in Avola, adopted by Ragusa, a true Sicilian. Before anything else, above all, it must be said that I have two daughters who make you lose your mind and a "magical" wife who walks beside me. In 2000, with top marks, I graduated in Food Science and Technology. Before SYGLA forcefully entered my life, I was a sales agent for large multinational communication and pharmaceutical companies. Twelve long years, in total. Then, as mentioned, it was time for SYGLA. A desire that did not appear suddenly, but that I have had since I was a child. Since I went with my father and grandfather among the trees of this part of Sicily and, together with them, I discovered, learned, worked, and breathed every wood of our countryside. We always collected them, a second before they ended up burned or discarded. I couldn't stand, and still can't stand, the idea that a tree could die. The trees cultivated by my father in the Val di Noto countryside are the same ones I use today to create my wooden pens. I personally take care of, day by day, moment by moment, the supply chain that transforms the root, the bark, the branch into a pen. I store each wood in a space dedicated to seasoning, through a zero-impact and one hundred percent eco-sustainable process.
