Chef Orlando Benavidez, owner of Bits & Pieces, draws on childhood influences and formal training to craft unique, vibrant tortillas, spice blends & sauces. With experience from top Denver kitchens like Richard Sandoval Restaurants, Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group, and Big Red F, Benavidez now aims to create "Bits & Pieces of proteins, fruits, vegetables, and grains" for shared enjoyment. In 2023, Benavidez and his wife, an Northeast native, began working to expand the business to the East Coast. Their latest release includes chile-based corn tortillas, Latin-inspired sauces and chef’s own spice blends, featuring only essential, fair trade & ethically sourced ingredients. Each product label offers suggestions for use with proteins, vegetables, or cocktails, designed to make their products accessible to cooks of all skill levels.
