About Yugen Handmade
Yugen was founded by Lauren Beacham in 2007, and was a creative outlet after earning her BFA in photography to bring her polaroids and jewelry together. As of September, 2024 Yūgen is under the new ownership of Samantha Wal, whom Lauren graciously passed the torch to and trained to take on the business. Samantha earned a BFA in graphic design and followed that path into her first job but found her passion in hands-on work and a love for crafting. This led her to Yugen where she fell in love with the celestial beauty behind the designs and is committed to maintaining the same dedication to quality, passion and creativity. The private Yugen studio is located in Rockaway, NJ, where everything is lovingly handcrafted to order.
