Suitable for an adventurous beginner, the construction of this Liberty quilt uses simple straight machine sewing to construct the square patchwork pieces and will introduce different quilting methods, which will help advance your skills. Patchwork quilting may turn out to be easier than you first think! Liberty Tana Lawn® would be well suited for the backing fabric (not included in kit). If not Liberty, any lightweight or quilting cotton weight 54” (137cm) wide fabric will also suit. Alternatively, use a lightweight water resistant fabric for the backing to transform the quilt into a hardier picnic blanket. This patchwork quilt kit includes the paper pattern, plus all the printed Liberty red, pink and plain white tana fabric you need to make the quilt top and binding.
