Description
This pen and ink watercolor illustration came as a popular request by Richmond, Virginia's theater and performing arts scene. The depiction of Richmond's largest theaters was inspired by the Richmond Classics series. This series, along with Theatres of Richmond, was a tribute to the establishments which make Richmond so special. The pandemic has affected our cultural scene of food, music, and the arts so greatly. I want to highlight how important these places are to our city through illustration. The print is 11"x17", vertical and unframed. The design was originally painted with watercolor, which translates well to the replicas. The colors are very rich and vibrant, adding a lovely touch to any room. The print features The Virginia Repertory Theater and November Theater, The Carpenter Theater at The Dominion Energy Center, The Firehouse Theatre, The Altria, The Robert B. Moss Theatre and The Theatre Lab at the Basement!
