Description
Inspired by the intricate woven Huipil textiles of Guatemala, these statement fringe earrings combine a monotone top woven portion made from high light reflecting beads and a beautiful cascade of colorful fringe. The fringe incorporates geometric and floral patterns which are a nod to the symbolic motifs found in Huipiles. The beaded portion is hung from a hypoallergenic stainless steel ball post which helps the earring stay in place and prevent it from weighing down the earlobe. These earrings are handwoven by women artisans from vulnerable communities in Medellin, Colombia and receive fair working conditions and compensation for their skills.
