The fatty layer of the paw keeps them from freezing, and the inner layer of the paw contains sweat glands that perspire, helping to cool a dog in hot weather. Always happy with our Modgy orders! I just wish you didn't use so much plastic in your packaging/shipping. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose, it's a pain to unwrap, and just wasteful/bad for the environment!
