Canihua flour - organic ancient seed grain - complete protein - wheat & gluten-free* the Petz kitchen dog & cat holistic super foods* Canihua is an ancient Peruvian seed, superfood antioxidant and nutritional power food also referred to as kaniwa, Chocho, and Andean lupin. It closely resembles quinoa and is sometimes referred to as baby quinoa, however, Canihua packs a much stronger nutritional and potential therapeutic punch than quinoa. Canihua has profound antioxidant values which may help run interference against damaging free radicals, a leading cause of disease. With twice the amount of protein as common grains such as wheat and oat, without any allergenic responses reported.

We were eager to find and carry this in our store. The packaging is a little disappointing. The bags don't have hangers or holes, and they don't stand on their own. We used a hole punch to hang them on our merchandise racks. While it may seem obvious that they are turmeric, the packaging lacks an actual "Ingredients" label/listing. Some customers have wondered if it's 100% turmeric or what else is in it.
