About Kim Testone

Kim Testone is an acrylic still life and trompe l'oeil painter whose work focuses on happy and colorful dessert foods that evoke a sense of nostalgia, with a tinge of whimsy and thoughtful undertones. Together with her husband, John (a former operations manager at the Walt Disney World Resort), Kim has one purpose for her business: to make her happy art available to as many people as she can. "I take whimsy very seriously. I want my art to lift people's spirits, and to help them see the beauty in simple things like ice cream, or connect with the humor, color and imagination in my foodscapes." Kim's unique painting style combines her formal education with many years of self-taught technique. She makes all of her painting references from scratch in her kitchen -- no AI or stock imagery. In her 12-year-career as a full-time painter, she has won several juried awards, had five gallery solo exhibitions, and was selected for a 2018 public art project in D.C. Her original works are in hundreds of private collections, and her recent series received hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok. She treats every piece -- original paintings, sketches, acrylic watercolor studies and prints large or small -- with a great deal of care. Kim is a former art magazine editor, as well as a former theme park caricature artist. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Drawing from the University of Central Florida and a Master's degree in Arts Administration from Savannah College of Art and Design.Read their story
