In 2015 Monica Neri, with creativity, study and passion, gave life to LEGÙ®. LEGÙ® was created to bring legumes, now forgotten peasant food, to the table in new forms. LEGÙ® is research, innovation and constant experimentation, inspired by a single great principle: Food must be healthy, tasty and easy to prepare; absolutely 100% natural and must respect the environment. LEGÙ® has reinvented the way legumes are consumed, creating new steamed products that are much faster to prepare. LEGÙ® brings legumes to the table, an authentic pillar of the Mediterranean diet (Unesco cultural heritage), creating a product with a high protein content, able to improve blood glucose levels, reduce cholesterol and increase the sense of satiety. LEGÙ® has decided to share its philosophy through site visits, workshops, cooking & food experiences in collaboration with schools, chefs, nutritionists and experts. The whole LEGÙ® project is born from the MIXTURE of 4 100% Italian steamed legumes then ground and balanced, in a variable proportion between white beans, chickpeas, yellow lentils and yellow peas. From the mixture, multiple products were then designed and marketed, such as ready-made preparations, soups, NOT pasta with legumes, snacks, biscuits, macaroons and the Ùnica selection, which combines taste of legumes to that of gluten-free cereals.
