My name is Elena Ágata and I am the creator and designer of Elena Ágata. Ben is my partner in crime and he helps with all things in the background… and he also makes the pieces on the potter’s wheel. I have always had a passion for things that are made by hand and high quality. I really appreciate the work that goes into these highly elaborated pieces. After learning the basics of pottery in London, we decided to move back to Spain where I am originally from and turn pottery into a little bit more than just a hobby. We bought a kiln, a potter’s wheel and some clay. We started making pots. A lot of pots. And since then we have been making pots. Recently, we have opened our own workshop/studio/shop/coffeeshop in Madrid where we make our pieces and we also organise workshops and ceramic classes. And we also make the best coffee in the neighbourhood…
