Malawi Cane Furniture Canada was established through a desire to bring beautiful, handmade and unique products from Southern Africa to Canada and in the process support the local economies and artisans ensuring their communities are supported fairly through their trade. The Canadian chapter is headed by Juanette and her husband Stefan. Juanette is originally from South Africa and it was a dream for many years to create a business importing uniquely made products. When she saw the Malawi Cane furniture she knew it was something special and wanted to share it with Canada. Each piece is skillfully weaved by using centuries old traditional weaving methods. Each piece can take up to 10 days to complete and is truly a work of art. We know that you will enjoy your one of a kind furniture as much as we do.
