Growing up on the East Coast, I developed a passion for the ocean, marine life, and water at a very young age. That passion inspired me to create a series of artworks and my first collection of scarves called "Floral Seas." This series of artworks was the genesis for my silk scarf collection and subsequently, the start of my 2nd career. I'm dedicated to preserving our oceans, keeping them clean, and protecting marine life from being decimated by pollution. My Floral Seas series of photo collages (art prints) serves as a metaphor for how fragile life can be and illustrates the beauty and vulnerability in our ecosystem. I took that series and transformed it into textiles. The flowers and water are metaphors for our vulnerable ecosystem. The flowers drift gently through the water, settling on the ocean floor without disruption—representing the quiet, often unnoticed changes in our environment. My scarves are Oeko-tex certified and printed in the finest eco-conscious mills in Italy. DiFiore New York donates to nonprofits preserving ocean life. We also donate to animal shelters here in NYC.
