About Divine Dragon Designs
Sumittra is the creative force behind Divine Dragon Designs. Amateur photographer, foodie, fur mom, art promoter and voracious reader, she has been making jewelry for over 20 years. Originally based out of Portland, Oregon, she now works out of Arlington, Texas, to be closer to family. Her designs balance elegance and whimsy to delight the wearer with unexpected pairings. Sumittra’s preferred materials include natural stones, freshwater pearls, handcrafted components and recycled / repurposed materials. Her designs vary from elegant to minimalist to chunky and bold, but always showcasing the innate beauty of the stones. Artist’s Statement: Divine Dragon Designs is an embodiment of the legacy I want to share with the world. It’s a celebration of beauty, whimsy, and even magic in our everyday lives. We wear jewelry to decorate our bodies and make statements to the world about who we are, who we love, issues we support, things we like, and so much more. They are little revelations of what is intangible and ineffable inside us. My pieces allow the wearer to reveal a little of their inner divinity, whether you are a high priestess, forest king, water nymph, mischievous imp, love goddess, powerful wizard, pirate queen, or superhero.
