About DOUM FOR WOMEN
Bringing together more than 200 women, DOUM FOR WOMEN is a women's basketry cooperative whose mission is to integrate rural women from the Douar Touggana, located 20 km from the city center of Marrakech. Our main goal is to help these women to be financially independent by providing them with a stable income within an ideal work environment. It is in 2019, in Marrakech, that we created our rural basketry cooperative DOUM FOR WOMEN. DOUM evokes the palm leaf, at the heart of our collections, pruned and woven by women artisans.

I waited for just over one month for my order. When I reached out to question delivery on two occasion’s I got no response. Also, I am disappointed with the product b/c the interior cotton zipper pouch is separate from the mini basket and it is too small to hold a cell phone. The stated measurements of the basket do not reflect the size of the pouch or its carrying capacity. Also, shipping was $70 and the wholesale price of the mini basket/ purse is $47…..this brings wholesale price to $58.00
