Hi! I'm Niki, the artist behind Gloomy Grove. I fell in love with painting ghosts in 2020 and haven't stopped since. I love to explore the life of a ghost - their journey in the afterlife and what they are seeking. Whether it's their soulmate, a location, or just peace in being alone, I believe they're looking for the meaning of it all just as we are, and trying to find happiness in their journey through the afterlife. The realm between reality and the unknown, and juxtaposing dark and beautiful themes is what really inspires my artwork. My preferred medium is gouache paint. All fine art prints are made in my home studio in Seattle, WA with help of my assistant/husband Jonny. He helps me with the admin side of things like printing and packaging orders.
