Incomparable was started in 1984 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Now shipping out of the UK. Working around a kitchen table, often late into the night, Jennifer Pascall was busy transforming small pieces of ground stone & clay into buttons of all shapes and sizes. As the company evolved, ladies from the local community were hired and trained in the art of button making. Most of the Incomparable team had never held a paintbrush before they joined the company and are now absolute masters of their art and justifiably proud of their work. Incomparable is very strongly committed to using environmentally friendly materials and production processes. The parent company is involved in the entire production process: from the sourcing of the raw materials, creation of the artwork/design to the presentation of the finished product. This allows us to confidently present a durable and unique product range of exceptional quality at an affordable price. Incomparable offers a wide range of copyright designs. Incomparable buttons are fully washable and dry cleanable*. This is a first for ceramic buttons and offers sewers, knitters, crafters and clothing manufacturers a great alternative to plastic.
