Welcome to Mjødgård We always strive to share our knowledge and experiences with you, as our passion for brewing and communication is paramount. Mjødgård is a meadery located in Haslev, with strong ties to the local South Zealand community; the nearby area and local ingredients are of crucial importance to us. The brewery works with an authentic and traditional approach to brewing, where natural fermentation and the qualities of the ingredients are the focus. The whole idea, passion and vision is to brew outstanding mead and to give people a great experience. A quality mead brewed from local ingredients that are sustainably produced and gently handled, with respect for tradition, the craft and the nature around us. Since Mjødgård’s founding back in 2008 much has happened. Much mead has flowed down the stream over the years. Our mead and visions have evolved with the times, with the rise of the Nordic kitchen and with society’s focus on sustainability. At the same time we are extremely aware of our own history, of mead’s proud history and of the three words that permeate our entire company, namely passion, tradition and craft.
