Our story began when founder Bianca introduced Stroopwafels to her American host family during an exchange year. One bite of the crisp waffle cookies filled with warm, gooey caramel sparked a love for this Dutch specialty and eventually the creation of Dutch Waffle Company. Most Stroopwafels sold in the U.S. are imported from the Netherlands and spend months in transit and storage before reaching store shelves. We do things differently. Our Stroopwafels are baked on this side of the ocean using an authentic Dutch recipe, allowing us to deliver a product that is fresher, crispier, and closer to the traditional experience.
