Over Happy Lona Happy Lona is een onafhankelijk Nederlands designmerk opgericht door Nanouk Jutte-Masselink. Met een achtergrond in kunstacademieontwerp heeft Nanouk altijd gewerkt met vorm, materialen en het creëren van objecten. Ze begon als tiener met het maken van sieraden en verkocht haar handgemaakte stukken op straat in Leiden. Deze vroege praktijk evolueerde naar Happy Lona, dat in 2019 officieel werd gelanceerd als een groothandelsmerk. Happy Lona werkt via directe handel met kleinschalige ambachtslieden en familiebedrijven in India, Turkije en daarbuiten — zonder tussenpersonen. Veel stukken zijn handgemaakt, geproduceerd in beperkte oplagen of gecreëerd als unieke objecten. Het merk richt zich op expressief, tijdloos design, natuurlijke materialen en eerlijke samenwerking. Elk stuk is gemaakt om gedragen, geleefd en bewaard te worden.
