About Capital Stitch Co.
Capital Stitch Co. is a Washington DC based, LGBTQ owned, women-led embroidery kit business focusing on embroidery with the beginner in mind. Our journey began during the pandemic with one small mission: to give a beginner everything they’d need to learn embroidery from home. Since then we've partnered with brands such as Major League Soccer and Shop Made, been featured in both Vox and Girlboss Media, and sold in stores all over the DMV area. The first thing people would say to me while I was embroidering was, "I love embroidery, but only my grandmother knows how to do it". My mission is to create DIY kits that enable even the most basic of beginner to learn how.
