Local Cape Codder Irene Lynch draws inspiration from her beloved home, translating the beauty and memories of the Cape into her original artwork. A UMass Amherst graduate with a BA in Studio Arts, concentrated in oil painting, Irene discovered a passion for watercolors that now defines her signature style. Her earliest sketches—doodles between summer waitressing shifts—grew into the paintings and designs collectors enjoy today. In 2020, returning home to Eastham at age 25 during the pandemic, Irene immersed herself fully in painting, creating original work that evokes the nostalgia and charm of life on Cape Cod—celebrating the whimsy in stickers, the fun in coloring books, and the beauty in art prints. She built a community of Cape Cod lovers on Instagram who cherished her depictions of the beach, sunsets, and coastal life. By 2021, she expanded her work into a full line of art prints, stationery, stickers, and coloring books. Summers are spent in her cozy art shop on the pier in Provincetown, while Sunset Artist Studios, her Eastham studio opened in 2023, serves as a community-focused space where local artists teach, create, and share their craft.
