Opulent Bath & Body came to life in 2022. You see, I have been a hobbyist for most of my life. I worked in corporate America for 30+ years as a restaurant manager. In my spare time, I experimented with many hobbies – candle making, sewing, and even glass blowing. As time wore on, I experienced the physical and mental exhaustion that a stressful profession can bestow. Mentally defeated by the effects of the pandemic around me, I worked through the difficult times until mid-2021. After retiring from my career, I traveled extensively throughout Europe and North Africa, where I found my new, and true, passion. I happened upon a street market at a seaside village outside of Rabat, Morocco, where they made the most beautiful, luxurious soaps. There, I learned about the proper blending of oils, and other natural ingredients to produce the most sensual, skin-nourishing body products. I learned how to work with coconut milk, goat’s milk, and even camel’s milk to emphasize the gentleness of soap. When I returned home - with pages of notes from my new Moroccan friends - I began my own trial and error process. I worked with many different oils for months until I found the perfect blends for my products. My goal was to create beautifully scented products that are skin-nourishing, long lasting, and luxurious.
