About Bear Food
Bear Food began when its founder left collegiate basketball and needed a way to pay for school. Inspired by a family tradition of selling Virginia peanuts, he launched Bear Food — starting as a small gifting business. What began with corporate gifts quickly grew into a full-fledged brand as customers kept asking, “Where can I get more?” Beyond the snacks, Bear Food has a bigger purpose: providing meaningful work for young adults with special needs, including the founder’s brother, Miller. Through its fulfillment center, Bear Food offers job training and support to help them thrive. Today, Bear Food delivers premium snacks with a mission that matters.
