MissSotoka is a project by Teresa Sotoca, from Extremadura who has been living in Madrid since 2000. He likes to define himself as a restless, observant and constant person, who likes to take risks and who believes that it is never too late to pursue a dream. His professional career began in the world of film and television. Teresa graduated in Audiovisual Communication, did a doctorate in “Techniques and Processes in the Creation of Images” and has participated in a large number of films and television series from the editing and post-production department. Her breakthrough into fashion occurred in 2012, when she decided to take the semester course at the Studio de la Casita de la Casita de Wendy. Teresa then felt like that girl who drew her own designs on cardboard, who devoured fashion magazines and watched mesmerized the continuous rocking of the pedal of the old sewing machine that her grandmother used, and which she still keeps today. In June of that year, he set out to create his first collection under his own brand, MissSotoka, based on the idea of craftsmanship. This new project is considered a personal and professional challenge, well aware of the difficulties ahead but with the decision of those who pursue a dream to fulfill. The brand's philosophy stems from the need to market unique, handmade and lovingly treated garments. In all production processes, the details are taken care of to the utmost.
