About Akron Honey

Holy moly! You'll never believe how we ended up on your screen. In 2013 there was a vacant city lot in our neighborhood of Akron, Ohio. After buying it and teaching ourselves how to keep bees, we noticed that this as way more than honey. It was about flavor! The flavor in our urban honey was mind-blowing! People took notice super quickly. We discovered that the difference in flavor was because of our approach. We didn't strain or filter our honey, and also didn't mix it with any other batches. Flavor for DAYS! Our approach is way different. We're all about amazingly delicious food, and feeling awesome! Our approached is centered on what people are eating, rather than what is being supplied. This how we began to innovate by developing flavors like Bourbon Barrel Honey (infused with bourbon barrels), Habanero Hot Honey (infused with habanero chili peppers), and Hibiscus Honey (infused with hibiscus flowers).
