A round block of wood - it serves its purpose fantastically well!! Love it - just wish it didn't cost double the price of the item for the shipping - but they did call me to verify I wanted to have it shipped to me in light of this cost!! Thank you Pat - I greatly appreciated being able to make that choice for myself. Love this company!!!
