Back in 1890, the apothecary Romeo Morganti began to take an interest in the production of coffee and wanted to study a system to proceed with its cooking in an industrial way. In those days, in fact, there was no real coffee production as we understand it today, coffee was a drink that was not very widespread and distributed at the time. The coffee was sold raw, and each individual buyer provided for the cooking, independently at his home, with small home-made toasts: this is how Romeo Morganti designed and had it built one of the first roasting machines of the time, which contributed to revolutionizing the coffee production sector. With the coffee roasting machine, the first Morganti roaster was born, which would positively mark the managerial destiny of the family, still today after 4 generations at the helm of the company. Since then, the Caffè Morganti company has grown to this day, combining modern coffee production systems with the artisan care that has always distinguished it, and that has allowed it to produce blends for espresso with an inimitable taste.
