In 2019, we set out to create a business focused around disrupting and innovating in the snack foods industry with “anti-establishment” values in mind, cause why not. We saw a need in the halal snack food market that wasn’t being fulfilled by any local or even national artisans. We asked ourselves why there wasn’t more love for creating less traditional Halal foods. Here is Twelve Cows, Canada’s first halal beef jerky brand looking to disrupt the industry and fearless enough to create a new unique jerky for our unique customers. Created by two best friends (Kareem & Fiaz) with two goals, to make the best damn jerky we could that even the pickiest carnivores can enjoy and show the Halal eaters of Canada that we care and we listen.
