About Rocky Mountain Honey Co.
Our Story Rocky Mountain Honey began in 1992 as Gorder’s Honey, founded by Ed Gorder in Blackfoot, Idaho. In 2015, David Dance—a third-generation bee enthusiast—purchased the business and rebranded it as Rocky Mountain Honey in 2017, relocating operations to Idaho Falls, Idaho. David is deeply immersed in the beekeeping world, not only processing honey for retailers but also actively managing hives for pollination services. Through his company, Beaverhead Honey Company, with locations in Dillon, Montana and Ucon, Idaho, he supports local agriculture by renting hives to farmers throughout the region. This essential service helps increase crop yields where native bee populations can't keep up with demand. Locally, these bees pollinate everything from alfalfa and canola to apples, oranges, and more. Rocky Mountain Honey sources its raw honey from Beaverhead Honey Company and a network of trusted beekeepers across Idaho, Utah, and Montana. We’ve proudly led the way in wholesale honey pricing for over 20 years, supplying premium honey to stores, bakers, and food producers across the Intermountain West. Our honey is carefully warmed—never overheated—and lightly screened (not filtered) to remove natural debris while preserving all the beneficial nutrients, pollens, and enzymes found in raw honey. We bottle it in its purest form, delivering a USA Grade A product you can trust.

the beeswax wasn't filtered enough, lots of bugs found in the wax blocks, also smelled unpleasant like it was burned when melting the wax down.

Rocky Mountain did it all in a timely fashion. Received Emails to let me know progress of my order. Wish shipping was faster and cost less but that isn’t their fault.
