Mountain Jim Foods was created to give people healthy desserts- a "healthy indulgence", if you will. Jeff Stewart grew up hiking and working the family farm and woods in West Virginia, packing snacks to keep from being hungry during the day. Having three sons via in vitro, he wanted to make snacks with no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners for them to enjoy. The company motto became pretty clear- "If a kid can't read it, you don't eat it." The company product list initially was only all-natural, super premium ice creams, but as time progressed, Dad and the boys found the tasty inclusions which were going into the ice cream treats made excellent snack options on their own. Thus, Mountain Jim's Smokey Mountain Pecans, Mountain Jim's SMOKIN! Pecans (cayenne) and Mountain Jim's Gorp (trail mix) found their way onto store shelves, with great success. We are also proud to identify Mountain Jim Foods as a 'Single Dad Owned Company".
