About Metric Forrest Studio
Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Metric Forrest Studio specializes in creating handcrafted, one of a kind pieces that enhance any outfit. Our collections tell their own story, one that finds beauty in simplicity. Each item is all handmade, one at a time right here in our studio. Our mission is simple: to create timeless designs that empower everyone to feel beautiful. We are known as the award winning All-In-One-Brand, something for everyone! All of our metal components in our jewelry are made in-studio by local artists. We always offer 100 different earring designs at any one time, and more than half of our pieces are made in our in-house metal studio. We use a variety of recycled metals, including copper, brass, nickel silver and sterling silver. To hand-etch our pieces, we use a process of first stamping the metal with a design, then acid etching the metal with a permanent design. Next, we add color to the metal with one of several coloring techniques including patinas, flame painting, alcohol inks and enameling. Once we have our designs and coloring finished, we custom cut our shapes one at a time by either hand-cutting or punching using a variety of disc cutters. From there, some of our pieces will be domed in a doming block, giving them a nice curve, while others will be hammered or run through a rolling mill to add texture. Finally, our last step is to add beautiful beads and the perfect findings to finish off our unique and one of a kind earrings!

I have been a customer of Metric Forrest Studio for many years. I LOVE their earrings and so do my customers. It really bothers me that I cannot choose the colors I prefer to sell. I always have pieces that do not sell and they are always the colors I would not have chosen to stock in my store. I spoke with the owner about it but she feels she needs to be able to do the selections herself. Unfortunately, after many years I will be moving on.
