About Sig & Fairy's

Sig & Fairy’s is a small apothecary in Portland, Oregon, built around rendered beef tallow, black seed oil, and ingredients chosen for how they function and feel on skin. The name comes from Sig and Fairy, my great-grandparents. Sig was a butcher. Fairy sold horseradish from her family farm. Their work was practical, exacting, and rooted in using materials fully and thoughtfully. That same approach shapes the way I make products today. A lot of modern skincare feels disconnected from material and process. Sig & Fairy’s stays close to both. Everything is made slowly, by hand, in small batches, with close attention to texture, function, and the materials themselves. I render our tallow in-house from grass-fed suet sourced from a multi-generation ranch in southeastern Oregon. The formulas are simple on purpose. Every ingredient is there because it contributes something real to the product, whether that’s moisture retention, texture, absorption, or feel on the skin. The products are designed to help support dry, tight, rough, overwashed, weathered skin without feeling heavy or complicated. Read their story
