Hello! We are KASHI, a small family business of 3 people-Deb, Jerry & Etty (daughter-in-law). KASHI's story started more than 40 years ago when Deb & Jerry started going to a small Holy town in India. First they would only bring silver jewelry back home. But slowly through the years they met kind & hard working tailors and Deb would start creating with them. Together they made unique garments that would bring smiles to our customers back home. Deb, Jerry & their son Jaisal would retail at festivals along the West Coast while also wholesaling to shops in whole USA. Till today we work with & give needed employment to some of the very same tailors (& now their children who have taken over the business). It has always been very important for Deb & Jerry to make sure that their vendors in India are paid fairly! That's why our prices are so affordable. We follow strict formulas to make sure they are paid well & we don't abuse the privilege to work with them. When you order from our shop you will see another important thing for us-we always reuse plastic bags & shipping boxes. We work hard to Reuse-Repurpose-Recycle whatever we can. That's why many of our silk garments are made from repurposed sarees.
