Chikka Chikka is a fun digestive and mouth freshening snack that is made primarily from maple-roasted fennel seeds. It is a healthy alternative to gum, mints, and snack foods. Fennel seeds are also a natural breath freshener that is rich in antioxidants, and have been used for thousands of years in India and South Asia. They address common digestion issues by reducing acid and reducing inflammation. That's all science backed. Chikka Chikka contains no artificial flavors or colors or refined sugars, and is sweetened with a touch of pure certified organic maple syrup. We loved eating Indian fennel seed mixes, but did not like that they were mostly filled with sugar and weird artificial flavors and colors. So we would roast our own mixes using a mix of seeds and spices and share with friends who would ask where they could buy this magical blend. We wanted the packaging to be beautiful, convenient, and minimize single-use plastics. The process is very important to us (life is all process, right?), which is why we partnered with a wonderful nonprofit that provides employment for veterans and people with disabilities, to produce and package our products. Focusing on the process, is why we love working with independent shops run by kind people like you!
