What happens when a young man from a bicycle dealer dynasty rents a bike while on vacation on Venice Beach in California? Right! He is infected with the Beach Cruiser virus, drags it to Germany and logically calls the bicycle shop he opens in Cologne “cycling fever.” This happened at the beginning of the nineties and Marcel Jansen can be described without exaggeration as a pioneer of the cruiser movement in Germany. Liix developed from “cycling fever” in the following years. The Liix success story is quickly told: Cruiser pioneer Marcel Jansen and his team from the Cologne store RADFEBER were annoyed by the complicated procurement of bicycle accessories from countless manufacturers, unreliable suppliers and dubious importers. Wouldn't it be better if there was one supplier for everything? All parts from a single source? Thought, done! In 2006, Liix was put on the chain and just one year later, with 1400 items, it was the largest provider of extravagant accessories in Europe. This year, there are already over 1600 parts, because the Liix scouts have brought a lot of new things from their travels in Europe, Asia and America.
