Our Team: Root Foods was born in culinary school, where co-founders Michael (retired Air Force Colonel) and Joshua (a third-generation vegetable chip maker) bonded over their pursuit to make healthy and unique food with taste as their North Star. Together with Carl, a Creative Director and culinary school grad as well, they built Root into what it is today: a five-year-old brand redefining what a chip can be. REAL Veggie Chips: Every Root chip starts with regeneratively and organically farmed vegetables. It takes approximately two pounds of fresh produce to make each bag; hand-sliced and flash crisped at low temperature to preserve nutrients, color, shape and real vegetable taste. We use just four ingredients in our chips: vegetables, avocado oil, sea salt and less than 1% tapioca starch. No pesticides, no preservatives, no additives, no fillers and free from all fourteen major allergens. Our 6 SKUs, Tomato, Beet, Zucchini, Onion, Cauliflower, and Six Mix, are Non-GMO Certified, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal and Kosher*. Low sodium, high fiber, each bag has an MSRP of $7.99.
