I started brainstorming my idea of the perfect candle line during the pandemic. I wanted to avoid fussy overly complicated scents and generic-looking candles...and instead, I designed bold single-note fragrances layered with vibrant packaging that represent the essence of each element. Jasmine is just that, a rich whiff of night-blooming jasmine, and Smoke is that thick burning wood smell that carries on your clothes after sitting by an open fire. I was inspired by folk art and nightmare fairy tales for the labels. These were designed with crayons, and each scent has pictures of things that embody the fragrance, be it garden worms, freshly squeezed oranges, or a skeleton of Marie Antoinette.
