Hello there! We are Mike and Lacey Menke, the faces behind Bloom Fragrance Company. Bloom started in the fall of 2021. We were recently married and getting settled into our home in Norwood, OH. We both loved candles and had a lot of vessels laying around that we had cleaned out with the intent to repurpose. I started researching candle making just for personal use, and instantly fell in love with the process. I loved the science behind finding the perfect wax, wick, and vessel combination and testing all of those variables made my heart happy. I realized in that moment, that we could make a candle that would perform well, that people would love! From there, we began placing sample orders with various companies to find the supplies that fit the style we were going for; easy-going, practical, yet beautiful. We slowly began to nail down the formula, look, and packaging over the next month or so and that’s when Bloom really… bloomed! We hand pour, label, and package all products in our extra bedroom alongside our cat Kiwi. Please join us on this journey and help us spread the word on what a good candle SHOULD be!
