About Alma Coffee
Alma Coffee focuses on bringing you the freshest coffee, straight from our USDA organic farms in Honduras! The roastery was founded in Georgia in 2018, but Alma's story begins generations before! As 5th generation coffee farmers from Honduras, Leticia Hutchins and her husband Harry, extended their family legacy by adding a roastery in North Georgia to complete the vertical integration of farm to cup coffee. This Veteran-owned family roaster was built on the pillars of improving lives, sustainable practices, and putting its heart and soul, or Alma in Spanish, into extraordinary coffee. With an emphasis on sustainability, we roast to order on the Loring Smart Roaster, the first in the state of Georgia which emits 80% less emissions than most commercial roasters. No matter what your coffee needs are, we would love to partner with you! These remind me of the slightly darker-compared-to-description versions of coffee I used to enjoy when living on the East Coast. Nutty and dark "medium" roast tastes like good restaurant coffee. Not overly complex, but nutty and smoky, great with milk, a good match with sweet baked goods or doughnuts. Good packaging, GREAT sourcing.
