The history of Ceramiche Lega dates back to 1950, when Leandro Lega gave birth to the famous artistic signature. Since 1975 Carla Lega has been carrying on her father's work, starting to model and decorate ceramic objects. It is thus inserted for skilful dexterity in the Faenza tradition, with a modern and autonomous language, enlivened by the use of reduction luster. Today, the family tradition is carried on by Martina, who works at full capacity with her mother Carla Lega. Born under the Lega signature, Martina experiments with new techniques and continues to keep the value of the Shop high. The Lega signature represents the Italian identity, and is a symbol of dexterity and exclusivity. In fact, each work is made by hand in the historic laboratory, where the skilful dexterity gives life to unique and exclusive objects. The goal of the Lega workshop today is to spread the art of beauty all over the world through its ceramics, its colors and the value of handmade, precisely because, as the well-known Tonino said War, “beauty is the nourishment of the mind.” Read their story
