S H Candles is a Philly based candle company. Our inspiration for candle making came from the show "How it's Made". Although the segment featured candle making on machinery it drew the interest if it could be made by hand. As any other individual with curiosity, we turned to google in hopes of making candles by hand. In response to the search, we were blown away by the different types of wax bases candles are made of as well as the various names for the vessels they are burning in. We settled with soy wax as it is a much cleaner burning wax than the others and better for our environment. Once we settled with our choice of wax the testing for burning consistency and fragrance throw began. It took many hours, days and months to perfect. Thus, in 2017 S H Candles was born.
