Patrona Textiles was created out of passion for the earthy and grounding elements that make up hand woven textiles: hand spun natural fibers, animal wool and cotton, natural pigment and plant dyes. With a deep appreciation for the artisans that are keeping these traditions alive, who pass their techniques down by generations, we aim to honor the people who ingeniously and expertly design each piece. Our biggest focus is to insure that artisans globally, but specifically in Argentina, remain supported by continuing to have a market for their goods. We insure that the artisans we work with are compensated fairly and ethically, thus continuing in their crafts, rather than looking for work in a different field. Each year the artisan trade shrinks as handmade goods are replaced by machine made and mass produced goods. Patrona Textiles is a global marketplace joining the work of passionate textile craftspeople with equally passionate enthusiasts to insure their art form is not lost forever.
