About Ephemera
Hey! I’m Angelica—owner, designer, maker, metalsmith, photographer, bookkeeper, content creator, shipping dept, customer service rep, one-woman-show, here at ephemera—and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Forever the creative, the arts have been a constant in my life since the beginning-Drawing, painting, pottery, jewelry-making, bookbinding, fine art framing, makeup artistry In the Spring of 2020, as the pandemic began to take hold, I found myself unemployed as a makeup artist (who needs makeup in a pandemic, am I right?). What could have been a setback, became the opportunity I had been waiting for. I embraced my new-found free time, and chose to slow down. I spent time with family, took walks with my daughter, picked and pressed flowers, experimented with resin and clay, made paper and hand-bound books, and rediscovered jewelry-making. By late Summer 2020, ephemera opened its doors online for the first time. Over the past two years, ephemera has evolved into what you see today. But one thing that has never changed is my love for what I do, and the incomparable feeling of getting to share a piece of that with you. Every single item in the shop is carefully and thoughtfully crafted in my home studio, in the scenic hills of Northern New Jersey—with these two hands. My hope is that the pieces I create serve as a reminder to slow down, enjoy the little things, and take a moment to appreciate the stillness and beauty of nature—and to look and feel great while doing it!
